Welcome back to the Successful Bookkeeper Podcast. I'm Louie Prosperi. Our guest for today's spotlight episode is Nadia Rodriguez, a senior tax analyst programmer at Intuit. She earned her master's degree in taxation in 2007 and her CPA in 2009. Nadia Rodriguez, welcome to the show. Hi, Louie. Thank you so much for having me. Oh, it's a pleasure having you here, and I'm so grateful that you were able to have some time with us and share your knowledge and experience with our audience. So Nadia, tell us a little bit about your career journey up to this point.
Spotlight: Yeah, sure. So you talked about how I received my master's. That was about 15 years ago, my master's in tax. And what I did right after earning that master's, I went into public accounting. And for a few years there in public accounting, I went into a mid-sized firm where I was in the tax department, and I prepared tax returns of all types of taxes, individual, business tax. And then I sort of did a little bit of a career path change after several years in public accounting. And I went into with a company to write the software for one of the tax professional softwares. So it really, I was still really in the tax world because I still had to keep up with the tax laws. I had to be very familiar with the different types of taxes so that I can write the code for, for this software. But I never stopped preparing tax returns because I have family, friends who, you know, you're a CPA, can you do my tax return? So I still did continue to prepare tax returns even if I left public accounting. And it was pretty amazing because I saw a lot of my clients grow from, you know, go through life journeys and start their own
