Our guest is the founder of Community Financials, which helps homeowner associations with their monthly bookkeeping, serving over 12,000 US homeowners. And he's a former Army captain, Russell Muntz. Welcome to the show. Thanks for having me, Michael. As they say on the radio, longtime listener, first-time guest. And I appreciate the opportunity to share some of what I've learned along the way. Oh, well, it's, uh, yeah, it's our journey together has been an interesting one. You listening at first, and then we've, we've met up. And so there's lots of cool stuff. And maybe we'll start with that. Tell, tell the listener our story. All right. So I started listening to your podcast back in either late 2018 or early 2019, read your book, did the Seven Secrets program. And we spoke on the phone a couple of times. Then we had the opportunity to meet in person while you were thawing out from Canada with your family in Florida this past winter, which was a real treat. Exactly. Much needed thaw out.
Yes. And I started Community Financials just under 4 years ago. I knew that this business was more of a bookkeeping business and accounting business than a property management or real estate company like my previous one. So I looked for resources to learn the best practices. Uh, one of the lessons the Army taught me was someone else has a roadmap of what you want to do and it'll save you time and missteps. So luckily I came across your podcast and I've learned and implemented so much. Uh, I learned from Mark Wickersham, Ron Baker, read their books and they helped with pricing and packages.
