I am your host, Michael Palmer, and today's show is going to be a good one. Our guest is the owner of Books by Paige. She's also a pure bookkeeping licensee. Paige Papiano, welcome to the show. Hi, thank you for having me. It's great to have you. And thank you on your last name for coaching me through that. It is a, it is a long one. And, uh, you know, Paige, it's great to have you on the show. You've been on a lot of podcasts in the past, so congratulations on that. But for those of our listeners who have not heard those before, I'd love for you to tell us a little bit about you, your career journey leading up to this point.
Okay, so I guess starting at the beginning, I went to school for accounting, went to college, did grad school, signed my MBA in the field. I started working like a public— at a public company. I really didn't like it. I moved, I joined a startup, and my now husband and I were working together at the startup. And at the time we got pregnant. So that's when I decided like, okay, the startup environment, just, it's fun when you're single, but I was like, if we're gonna have a family, this just is not going to work. The partners were already having issues. We were working from like the moment we woke up to the moment we went to bed. So as a relationship, it was fun, um, because we were together like all day and, you know, doing our thing. But we said, if we're going to bring a kid into the world, like, we need to figure out our next move. So I knew that I always wanted to be a business owner from day one. I
