Our guest is a former USA gymnast, Emmy-winning television news anchor, tech executive, and now a sought-after speaker and author who reframes resilience and empowers audiences to create successful futures. Nina Sosamunpoh, welcome to the show. Thanks so much for having me, Michael. I'm excited to talk with you. Great, Nina. It's great to have you. And you know, you've got a lot of accolades here and you've done some really interesting things in your life. I would love for you to introduce yourself to our audience by telling us a little bit about your journey getting to doing what you're doing today.
Nina Sossamon-Pogue (Nov 26): Well, it's quite the journey as you teed up there. I have done a lot of things. I have a little bit of a try-hard, my kids would say, because They're all adults now. They think it's quite entertaining. But I have— I don't go out and talk about my successes. I mostly talk about the failures and the changes along the way and the troubles along the way, because I think people often can just introduce me like you did, and people would assume that I've just had this very simple, wonderful life, when in reality, anyone you meet has gone through their own challenges and changes, just like every— all your listeners have gone through their own stuff. And so I like to talk about the things that didn't go right, the things didn't go as planned, the failures, the The big challenges, the mental struggle that went along with those successes along the way and all the changes along the way. I've had 3 big careers, so gymnastics, TV, and tech. And now I do the author. Now I'm an author and a speaker, and I really spend a lot of time in this space focusing on helping other people thrive
