Michael Alliman: The obstacle for me was too many different types of clients. I never got into any kind of rhythm. I never was able to easily transition from one type of company to another. Well, the honor is all ours. And Michael, I'm looking forward to our conversation, but before we get into things, please tell our listener a little bit about you and your career journey leading up to this point.
Ad Read: Oh, sure. Thank you. So my career journey for what we're interested in started in 1986 when I graduated from from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville with a master's in accounting, emphasis in tax. Thought that I was going to be a tax accountant. Actually, I thought I was going to be a professor, but life kind of interrupted that. My then-wife wanted to have a break from me being in school all the time and wanted to complete her education. So we made a deal that I would stop my schooling. I'd use my degree and having passed the CPA exam, I'd go to work for a few years while she finished her degree, and then I was I was going to go back to college and finish my PhD so that I could teach. And like I said, that got interrupted. So I went to work for Price Waterhouse, which is what it was still called back then. There were still Big Eight firms when I graduated. I went to Price Waterhouse for a couple of years, was miserable as a public accountant, but thought it was
