Ad Read: Basically, when I first got started, if you had a business, you were a prospect. You know, if you could sign a check, you were going to be a client because I needed clients. And I realized about 3 or 4 years into it, you know, here I was. I wanted to go into business for myself. I'd always dreamed of owning my own business. Now I own my business, be my own boss. And it dawned on me about 3 or 4 years in, I wasn't my own boss. I had like 31 bosses. And they all had different types of businesses with different types of needs and different demands. Yeah, it's great to have you, and I'm excited to hear your journey and to share some of the things that you've been going through in the last couple of months with our listeners. But before we get into that, Jim, I'd love for you to tell us a little bit about you and your career journey leading up until this point. Well, that would probably be another podcast altogether. We can have two episodes.
Not begging for that, but my journey getting into the accounting and bookkeeping field is really quite unusual. I, I used to always ask people, you know, when I was first getting into the business, I used to call new business owners all day long, every day, because I figured, you know, that's the low-hanging fruit. They don't have an accounting relationship, they don't have a bookkeeper, I'll call them. They don't know whether I'm qualified or not, so that's a good fit. So, you know, we'll see if we can help each other. And I would always ask, you know, hey, what inspired you to start your new business? And, you know, it was a great conversation starter, but the reality was, you know, I didn't get started, there was nothing inspiring about my start. It was a story of desperation more than
