Jessica Fox (Aug 13): You know, it doesn't hurt to ask. Every time that I deliver something above and beyond what they expect, that's the perfect opportunity. And I've had one client, she had been with me for years, and it wasn't until I got her out of a pickle a few months ago that she was so wowed by the fact that she had me and I helped her that she, for the first time in all those years, I didn't ask at that point, she pulled up the old email request for a review and then she went and left reviews everywhere for me. Wow. So just focusing on delivering that outstanding service, even if you don't get the review right away, you're laying that foundation to get that. Jessica Fox, welcome to the show. Thank you so much for having me. Well, it's great to have you, Jessica, and I'm excited to, to learn more about you. And you've got lots to share with us today. But before we get too far down that path, I'd love for you to share with our listener a little bit about you and your career journey leading up to this point.
Sure, I'm happy to. Trying to keep a long story short, I found myself into the accounting field by accident. I— it was not my goal. I was going to college for something else, but while I was in college, I had the opportunity to assist a business that was in the middle of an audit and did not have a bookkeeper. And I found that I had a good affinity to it, that the numbers made sense. And going back a little, it should have been a hint to me that I used to like doing my parents' taxes when I was younger, but I had not connected those dots until I had actually helped a company, and they were so impressed that they offered me a position. I was a corporate bookkeeper for almost 10 years, and when I relocated to a different part of my state of Florida, I took
