Jeremy Miller (Aug 27): So if you are a bookkeeper, being able to explain who you are, what you do, and who you serve clearly, cleanly, succinctly, and in the language of your customers, and ideally in 10 words or less. If you can do that simple statement, then that's gonna do more for your brand and your marketing than anything else, because you can go to a networking event, introduce yourself, and someone will immediately get it. You don't need a fancy elevator pitch or something that's gonna make someone laugh or pause. You just want someone to understand who you are. And if we're able to do that, then all of your other marketing gets better. Your website gets better, your advertising gets better, your PR gets better, your networking gets better. So I call that simple clarity, which is the ability to describe who you are, what you do, who you serve in 10 words or less.
