Our guest is from Australia, and she is a workplace consultant and author of Work Your Magic: Create a Better Business Community That Works for Everyone. Sharon Doherty, welcome to the show. Good morning. It's— I'm delighted to be here. It's great to have you, Sharon. Before we get into the episode, I'd love for you to share a little bit about your career journey leading up to this point and how you became doing what you're doing?
Guest: Well, it's in some ways a short, long story in that I had— I started my own business 19 years ago. And so I guess originally, you know, in Australia, I'm Australian. And so in Australia, often what we did with workplace rehab was we picked people up after they'd fallen over. But thankfully, over the years, I think, thank goodness, early people have understood early intervention. They understand and looking after their people. And now we are trying, but then it was about stopping people from falling over. And now it's about going further upstream and making sure that they just stay well and engaged at work. And I think that has kept me in the business for so long because it's nice to have seen that transition where we're trying, you know, we're trying to keep people well 'cause we spend a lot of time at work. I've never heard workplace rehab. Oh, okay. I like that turn. I think it's great. I think a lot of workplaces need rehab. Yes. Well, it's just that it's also, I guess, that idea we can do better. We can improve, we can make things better, just like we do, go to the gym, anything.
