Curtis Lewsey (April 30): One we say is that don't just ask for the referral, deserve it. And you deserve a referral, you earn a referral by who you are and how you show up in people's lives. So you need to take an audit saying, how am I showing up in people's lives? What am I doing? Am I making deposits? And you want to constantly be making deposits because you have more that comes flowing back to you in abundance when you're, when you're making those deposits. It's an honor to be here. Well, Curtis, it's great to have you. And before we get into all the amazing things you're doing right now for small businesses, let's hear a little bit about you and how you ended up doing what you're doing.
Well, thank you. So take you back. So back in college, um, I read the book Rich Dad Poor Dad, and most of us have, and it got me really kind of thinking a little outside the box and differently. So If you remember in that book, Robert Kiyosaki's rich dad told him to work for Xerox when he got out of the military, not for the money, for the training. And so I went to work for a company called Cintas Corporation, the uniform people, and I got to sell really sexy products like toilet paper and air fresheners and soaps to businesses. So I was knocking on every door, every store, and every floor. And they don't just give you leads, you got to go out and generate, you got to hunt and go get, go get all that business. So In doing so, it was great. I cut my teeth, learned a lot. And one of the biggest lessons that I learned about 3 months in was, I feel, is the biggest competitive advantage in like all of business is saying thank you, being appreciative. And see, in that business, I was kind of forced because it was tied to Wall Street. So you start over at zero every day, every week,
