Our guest is the president and owner of Faith Accounting and Consulting Services, and she is a Pure Bookkeeping licensee, Corrine Wright. Welcome to the show. Hi, Michael. Thank you for having me. I'm so excited to be here. It's great to have you. I'm loving, loving the fact that you were able to get on with us, and I know a big part of this is just Hearing about your success in business, I just knew I had to have you on the podcast, tell your story. So before we get into all of that, Kareem, tell us about your career journey leading up to this point.
Coreen Wright (Sept 20): Oh, I don't know where to start. I guess I'm going to start from high school. I always knew I wanted to be an accountant in high school. Once I decided to move from being an attorney and going into the number field and accounting because I realized I wasn't that creative. As a storyteller. So me being an attorney wouldn't have worked. Um, and I also appreciated the fact that numbers do not lie. So that's why I was like, accounting is more my cup of tea. So ever since high school, I've been taking accounting courses at my, at my high school and also at my local college, Hofstra University. And then from there, I attended Howard University and graduated with a bachelor's degree in accounting in 2009. During that, also that time, my son was due a month after my graduation. Oh, wow.
Um, and I started my accounting career working in an accounting firm doing audits. And I quickly realized that auditing wasn't for me either because I fell asleep during an audit. So that was, that was not a good sign right there. So from there, I went in and started working at Columbia University at their Teachers College Fresh Department. I loved doing that. I
