Vulnerability Disclosure
Effective date: June 20, 2026 · Last updated: June 20, 2026
1. Introduction
We believe that keeping customer data safe is a serious responsibility, and protecting it is a top priority. Thank you for your interest in our vulnerability disclosure program and for any input you may share about the security of our products and services.
If you have discovered a security flaw that affects The Successful Bookkeeper, please let us know so we can address it.
2. Reporting a security problem
Please send security reports to security@thesuccessfulbookkeeper.com. Include enough detail for us to reproduce and understand the issue, and a secure way for us to respond. We will get back to you as soon as we can.
3. How we handle reports
Once you submit a report, this is how we will proceed:
- We will acknowledge your report and provide a way to track the progress of the issue you raised.
- We will investigate to determine the issue's impact on our platforms.
- We will work with you to fully understand the issue and keep the matter private until our investigation concludes.
- Once the flaw has been resolved, we will post any necessary update and, with your permission, give you public credit for the discovery.
4. Responsible disclosure guidelines
To keep everyone safe while a fix is in progress, we ask that you:
- Give us a reasonable amount of time to investigate and resolve the issue before disclosing it publicly.
- Make a good-faith effort to avoid privacy violations, data destruction, and interruption or degradation of our services.
- Do not access, modify, or delete data that does not belong to you.
We will not pursue legal action against researchers who report vulnerabilities in good faith and in line with these guidelines.
